Accessibility

Alma Gift wants everyone to be able to browse and shop our store, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or other assistive technology. We work to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we test the store with automated tools and with a keyboard each time we make a major change.

What we have done

  • Text alternatives for images, headings in order and a "Skip to content" link.
  • The store can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Color contrast checked on text and buttons, including text over photos.
  • Pages that work with reduced motion turned on.

Known limitations

  • Checkout and payment pages are run by Shopify, and some parts of the store come from third-party services (payment buttons, the chat window and the email sign-up). We do not control their code, but we report problems we find.
  • Some product photos may not yet have a full description. We are adding them.
